Christmas thoughts
As we go through the Advent season, it is often hard for us to stay focused on the true meaning of the season. Familiar sayings like "Keep Christ in Christmas" and "Jesus is the reason for the season" are somewhat overused and overused and trite now and so are ineffective. What does help you to keep the holy

Honestly, the first thing that comes to mind when I think of Christmas is presents and gifts. But the true meaning of Christmas is still on my mind. Christmas is about loving one another and being peaceful and kind to everyone. Spending Christmas with my family makes me so thankful for what God has given me. At the end of the day, I forget about all of the gifts and look around at what an amazing family im surrounded by, and I remember the true meaning of Christmas :)
To help me keep the holy in Christmas is by giving to others in need and going to church to praise the Lord. Most people think Christmas is all bout giving and getting presents when really it's about the coming and birth of Jesus Christ our Savior. When I think about Christmas since I am a teenger, I think about gifts and what others are giving me and what I am giving them . But in the back of my mind I am thinking about what am i giving Jesus and what can I do to make him happy/pleasure him. This Christmas I think that everyone should give up a bad habit of theirs' for Jesus and should stay up all night of Christmas Eve and pray and talk to God.
For me to keep the faith during this holiday is by me attending Church almost every Sunday. This helps me to actually remember what exactly this season is about because sometimes I do forget the true meaning and get wrapped up in all the gifts but i try to remember that it is about giving and not receiving. I also help the less fortunate by wrapping and giving out gifts on Christmas Eve.
I think what really helps me is when i go to church and them go out to breakfast. After that going to my grandmothers house to pray and bless the food that God has laid in front of us.
To help me remember that christmas is about Christ, I go to church to remember all the things he did for us, and I go to praise him. Many people have to realize that christmas is not all about giving its more then that, its about our lord jesus and the day he was born.
What helps me remember the true meaning of Christmas is not taking but giving. I go to church every sunday and christmas eve. Most people think its about presents and stuff, but its much more than that. Chirstmas is about God, not just about presents.
